About

Twenty-two. The number of countries I’ve visited around the world. Twenty-seven. The number of years it’s taken me to travel them all. Meticulous. The best way to describe my organisational skills.

I come from an enthusiastic family of nomads with a passion for travel. I have been dragged through the bush backwards since I was knee-high to a dung beetle, exploring most of southern Africa thus far. I have travelled through a large portion of Europe and dabbled in the Far East, however, I always find myself drawn to Africa.

I have always been a creative, and after finishing my studies in photography, I happened upon an advert in a magazine looking for an intern. I could’ve sworn that the ad was written with me in mind, leaving me no choice but to apply and so, I became an intern at a publishing group.

Within a matter of time, I was promoted to editorial assistant, to journalist, to photojournalist, to lead photojournalist, to interim editor, and boom – my unexpected career in writing had begun!

Based in Cape Town, I have since been a photojournalist, blogger, content writer, editor, academic writer, and travel writer during my years of industry experience.

My organisation skills are top-notch. If you want files organised alphabetically, chronologically or by hue – then I’m the nerd you’re looking for.

Although I love working in a team, I will never shy away from challenges that require an individual approach. Challenging tasks excite me and push me to my limits. Let me loose with a plane ticket and a passport and I can accomplish anything.

A passionate individual.
